Crowds during the weekend

Hello,
My name is Cathy, I just joined this usergroup today. My g/f and I missed diversity weekend but would like to see Eureka, maybe this weekend
(April 10-12)
How crowded is Eureka Springs during the Spring?
We plan to see nature's sites, and hopefully meet with NICE/FUN people.
I am leaning towards the Tradewinds for lodgings, but haven;t checked availability. I would appreciate any helpfu tidbits, but realize it's pretty short notice.

This weekend, the 9th - 11th is UFO weekend!:) So, the crowds will probablly be big. Here we always say the more the merrier....so come on up!

The Tradewinds is absolutely fantastic! Lee and Kelly have just worked marvels in every room........ask about the haunted room! If they don't have an availability just post again or try emailing any of us locals and we'll try to help you out:)

Where are y'all coming from? My husband and I moved here from Denison about 10 months ago. I've also lived in Fort Worth, Arlington, Galveston and Odessa................I love Texas, but I'm HOME in Eureka :)

There are a couple of events in town this weekend. The UFO conference and a Bike Swap meet.

I can tell you that the Tradewinds do have rooms available, at least they did when I left there this evening, for this weekend. I do recommend the Tiki Tropical room, or Safari room. Check out their website at www.eurekatradewinds.com.

Hi Tattocarrie AND Aaron,
We are coming from Grand Prairie Texas. I have been in Tx for about 12 years. I have become very fond of Texas in that time, though my family is based in Oklahoma. ( Tulsa ) . Do you just love waking up to the scenic beauty around you?, It must be very nice.

Aaron, Do you mean a bicycle swap meet or a motorcycle one? We ride motorcycles - Eureka Springs is kind of a long trip for me though.
Regarding the UFO conference - do you know if it's in the downtown district? Although, the more diverse the crowd, the less likely we are to stand out. <smile>, So maybe it will be fun. Anyway, we are booked in the Romance suite at Tradewinds. I booked our room with a nice young man over the phone.
Hope to cross paths with you guys in Eureka. I will be the one in overalls, my official - "not at the office" attire.

Not sure if this is too late or not but, it is a Motorcycle swap meet. There will be lots of bikes in town.

The UFO Conference is at the convention center at the inn of the ozarks.
