:D Hi Dawn , Lee and Kel,
I ranaway after last weekend.......was a rough one. I went and hid out at Mom and Dads for a few days. I haven't had a weekend like that since I first opened the Copa 4 seasons ago. :shock: Anyway, I am feeling much better now. Time to get back to work and get to organizing for the next few weekends coming up ! This Saturday is our 3rd Anniversary Party at the Copa ! We opened May 23 2001, so actually it's our 4th season we are starting. The next weekend will be Memorial Day weekend. (a biggy), then Blues Festival....... :D :shock: :!: We have a helluva line up for that one !

Today is the last day of school here ! wooo hoooo !!! I don't have to wake up early for a few months ! I am ready for a great season, with lots of fun events and activities going on all over town !

Ya'll have a great day ! OH YEAH ! By the way, Tammy and I got the house we were wanting !!! We start moving in boxes next week, but the whole process will take us a couple weeks. Lots of other things to do too !

I am still doing my moving in thing. I have made a lot of headway on it all, but still more to do. I have to go back to the other place and clean it today, plus more to do here at the new place. (plus, trying to make sure all is organized, to make sure things run smooth this weekend at the Copa.) I wish ya'll could get out just for a little while to hear Midnight Revue Band.......you would LOVE them, they are SOOOOOOO GOOD !

Our internet has been down for some time, but it is up and running once again. Lisa and I are just now planning a trip to Eureka, yeah!!! And it just so happens we are planning it for Sat June 19-Mon June 21. We haven't made any accommodations yet, but were thinking of the Tradewinds, but neither one of us wants to drive after we have been to the Copa. I know the trolley doesn't run at night, but are there any taxis or something that would run? Any information anybody can give us would be great. Hope to talk to you soon.

but i do understand your situation......
it is my understanding that there is A taxi in town. just 1...and if you call him, he will get there eventually--now i'm not from ES, but was told this the last time.

what we do is use the trolley in the day and between 5-6 come back and get a vehicle to drive back to the hotel......and we drive VERY carefully. we have never had any problems........and yes, i'm sure we shouldn't have, but we certainly weren't going to walk back out of there in our shape.

Thanks for the information on the taxi. Whether we call it or not, we probably will stay at the Tradewinds. We haven't made our reservations yet, but probably will today. Dawn, I will post later when we have actually booked our reservations. We probably will leave home in the morning sometime on Sat and get there early afternoon and leave out on Monday. We just need to get away for awhile, a lot has been going on. Lisa's ex is giving her a hard time and her oldest son doesn't want to go see him anymore, my daughter and her son have been trying to date, and we are trying to buy a house. On top of all that , I am trying to get through Arkansas history which is a b____!! Anyway, we need some rest and relaxation in good ole Eureka. Does anybody know where we can get a good lawyer who would look out for our "interests?" Thanks for all you help. Talk to you soon!

I'm sorry to hear about all the trouble you and Lisa are going through! Sounds like you DO need some Eureka relaxation!

I am finally done with my office's convention!! YIPPEE!! I am totally wiped out! I got home this morning about 2:30 and just now got out of bed. This coming weekend is my own little reward for surviving over 700 demanding sales people. Plus, it's our wedding anniversary on the 21st, so this is our special getaway weekend.

Can't wait to meet you both. Michael & I will be at the TradeWinds this Friday through Sunday. Some friends of ours from the Front Porch will be there this weekend, too. Lita's having Earl's Garage Band on Saturday night and I've heard they're fantastic. You girls should come out and party with us!

I don't know exactly when we will arrive, but we do plan on going to the club because it was closed when we made our first trip to Eureka. So, how are we going to know each other? I am Angela and I am 5'2 and slim with short red hair and glasses. Lisa is about 5'7 and slim with long brown hair. I wish that we could get to Eureka more often but don't have the time or the finances even though our room for the two days isn't costing a whole lot. I won't know anything about our home loan for at least a week or two. We have this one house that is the ONE-I hope we can get it, but my loan officer said that what they are asking for it is about $5,000 beyond my means, so we will have to offer less and see if they will take it. Both of our children swears they are not dating anymore, but I don't know. They don't seem to understand how awkward it is or will be if this continues. Anyway, I guess I will let you go for now, talk to you soon!

My husband Michael, or as Lita calls him Pretty Man, is hard to miss! He's 5'8" and has long blonde hair and looks a little like Brad Pitt. Some people tell me they think he looks more like Johnny Depp. I'm 5'10" with long red hair. Don't worry, you can't miss us!

If we don't meet you at the TradeWinds before you go to the Copa,
we're friends with everyone that works at the Copa, so just ask the bar tender or one of the waitresses for "Tulsa Dawn". That's my name on the Front Porch.

Dawn.....I'd LOVE to come down, but there just isn't anyway. We just got word that my aunt has two weeks left. She was diagnosed with cancer recently--and it is moving fast!! We need to spend time with her.

good luck on the house. I know what it feels like to find the ONE, and almost lose it. I did get mine and I'm having a blast with it.
ALSO, you CAN"T miss Dawn and Michael--they are the life of the party.

I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. I lost my mother to cancer 12 years ago in October. Thanks for the encouragement about the house. My loan officer today contacted me and told me about a long list of things I still need to turn in before the loan will go through, so that is a big pain in the butt. I am so looking forward to this trip and am going to enjoy every second of it. Talk to you all soon.

Angela, isn't buying a home a pain? We did it five years ago this weekend and I hated it! Now I want to sell this place and move to Eureka! I'm gonna do it someday!
