Hi everybody, I guess I am the only one getting on here anymore, I don't see anybody posting. But, I just thought I would say that my dream house got sold, but I did get pre-approved for a home loan, now all we have to do is hunt for a house, which we have been doing. I just went and signed the papers to get the loan on Friday of last week, and now on Tuesday, I got approved. Well, I am excited and just thought I would spread the joy. I still can't wait to get back for another visit. Talk with you all later.

Hi girls!

So sorry that you didn't get the house you wanted, but the good news is that you did get approved for a home loan.

There must be a better house for you! Maybe one close to Eureka Springs? :D

Good luck with the search! Keep us posted!

Hope to see you both in November for DW!

Thanks for the input. How are you doing? I know that you had some family who had been ill. I hope you are coping well. If you hadn't read already, we have found another house and have made an offer. I hope they will take it, but if they don't then we will make a higher offer. I am so excited! Well, I guess I will go for now, chat with you soon.

hey guys!! So happy you found another house!! Hope all works out well for you!! It is SO EXCITING to make an offer, then you get so anxious to hear back. its like an adrenalin rush!!! (have I mentioned I'm a crazy person!! ;) )

as for my family.....it was my aunt and she did pass away on june 22nd. today would have been her 80th birthday, so its kind of a gloomy day, but overall everything is ok. She didn't have to suffer. She had liver cancer and it took her fast......we were all hoping she would be here for her birthday, but it wasn't to be. She had a wonderful mothers day, so we all hold on to that!

keep us posted on the house!! and I will keep my fingers crossed for you

happy 4th of July!!

I'm sorry to hear that, but as you said, at least she didn't suffer and you do have your memories. I think I said before that my mother passed away October 5, 92 to cervical cancer. She passed away one month from my daughter's first birthday, and she never knew my son because he wasn't born yet. It is definately sad to lose a loved one, there are so many things I wish I could tell her, but I suppose one day I will be able to tell her. About the house, your right I am so elated. I also keep wondering if it is just a dream. I hope they accept the offer, but I made a low offer and hope they will at least counterback with me. I should know by Monday evening if they have accepted it or not. Well, hope to chat with you again soon.

So, did they counter offer? Hope you get good news! If not, keep on looking.

How was your 4th? We were at the campground and had a few people out. It was a lot of fun!

gotta run.....my job is getting in the way of my play time! ;)

Well it is all over now as of yesterday, but it was pretty traumatic for us. I went ahead with the mortgage company I was working with even though they weren't very efficient or accurate on anything they did for me, except for closing early. I was told that my interest rate was going to be a fixed rate of 8.99% which was high enough. I was told that the closing cost was going to not be over $1600 so we borrowed the money from Lisa's mother, actually we borrowed $2000 and thought that would help with moving expenses. Well, we didn't hear what the settlement costs were until the very minute I was supposed to close. Then I found out that the closing was $800 more than what they told us. Well, we depleted both our accounts to pay for it because we have come this far, and didn't want to disappoint our children. So, as the commercial goes, I am up to my eyeballs in debt, but we have a nice house and cars. We still want to come to Eureka in Nov, and hope we will still be able to get a room. I wish we could make reservations and pay for them when they get there. Anyway, even though it didn't turn out as smoothly as we thought, it is a big weight off our minds that it is done. Well, hope to chat with you all soon!

Thanks, it has been a tremendous relief, now I can focus on getting back to school and moving. Of course I am filing a complaint with the proper authority to tell my story. Hope we can come too.
