Michael & I are going to his sister's house at the lake for our annual family gathering.
Even though she lives near the lake, we never go there! She's got a nice pool in the back yard, so we just do the swim thing there, not so crowded! We usually have Michael's immediate family and my sister-in-law's in-laws and some of their friends.
My brother-in-law usually bar-b-ques enough chicken, burgers, hot links, hot dogs and steaks to feed an army.
Michael's sister usually buys enough little fireworks to keep my nephew and niece occupied for a couple of hours. Then my husband & his brother, the pyromaniacs, shoot off a couple of hundred dollars worth of big fireworks and we all sit around and ooh and ahh.
Mix in a little beer and some homemade ice cream and call it Yankee Doodle!
