Hello, this is Lonewolf. I am the activity director for a huge midwestern lesbian get together. We have narrowed down our central location & that would be Eureka Springs.
We haven't settled on a date yet. (looking at Sept. 15, 2005)
Is there anyone out there who could help me plan for this wonderful event.
I know copacabana is an awsome nightlife. I am in the process of getting a hold of the owner.
ANyone know of a all female band that I can collaborate with? I am a singer & would like to work on a few songs with them & they can take the rest of the show...I just need my own time slot.
ANyhow...anyone out there that can help?

The other sponsors on this board will also be very helpful, along with the other posters whom are regulars to Eureka Springs. They are always willing to jump in and lend a hand, or help with any questions you might have. They're a great friendly group, and full of knowledge on Eureka Springs. I am sure your group from shoe.org would have a wondeful time in Eureka ! (they will not want to leave.......they will want to move here )! :D

LoneWolf....WolfMaster here....there is a band in Oklahoma City called Iris that you might get ahold of. They are wonderful and may be interested in what you have to offer. It sounds like a wonderful weekend getaway and I would be interested in hearing more about it and your group. Hopefully you will find whatever you need for your weekend here at the chat room.

Iris is very popular ! I have never heard them , but I have heard fantastic things about them. They have sort of become a tradition here in Eureka on DW at Chelseas Bar. Give them a call at Chelseas, and ask them how you can get a hold of Iris Band. They are really cool people at Chelseas, and I am sure they would be happy to help you out. Ask for Nate, Styx or Mollie at 479-253-6723. Tell them what the deal is about your organization getting together in Eureka, I am sure they will be happy to help you. They have been sponsors of Diversity ........for too many years to count.

Hell......if it's not too rude to invite ouselves......maybe all of us on the board could get together and meet all of you ! We don't bite or anything.......well.......except maybe for Sparky when he's in heat....lol !!!!! :shock: :lol: :lol: :lol: (love ya Sparkster) :P

I just noticed this post and Lonewolf is no longer on my committee, the Activity director for this event is Teresa Bustin from Mountain Home and she is in charge of all activities for this event. We do not want or need a band this is a party to raise money for Shoe.org a world wide Lesbian site.
I have been planning this since July of last year and am the Organizer for this event.

The dates for this event is September 16, 17 and 18th of 2005 and we look forward to having our party as planned at the Tiki Torch, our Activity Directory is writing Katie at the Tiki Torch because we want to have the Party there on September 17th and start it at 6pm, Teresa has all ready talk to Katie during Diversity and she said she looks forward to it.

We hope to have lots of shoes there and there are many people coming and some are flying in from other areas of the Midwest.

Thanks to all the people in Eureka Springs that have given us ideas and helping us with more ideas for this event and much thanks to you Deborah and Linda.

Well if you want to be with us you are more than welcome, we have a friend Justin, we call Justeen that may be there too so if you can get into the Tiki Torch with us, come right on in. It would be nice if you would make a donation to shoe.org though. I love there website and it is free and we just want to keep it going. So they need our help, so lets party and get some donations for these good people that started shoe.org.

Our the rooms booked FULL? Where iz everyone staying? Sherwood? The Woods? Romantic Candlestick?the Tradewinds and their late night FLAMINGO swimming pool is always HOT! lots more under lodging worth checking out!!!
how about a BOOT party any cowgirls bringing along their cowboy brothers?

give Lisa at the Tiki a big HUG from Roger and Me.

Thought about going ...however, Rog turns 50 the week before and his intrest in shoes sucks for now... if there will be any barefooted teenage boys (of age) running around then count on us being there :wink: we can trap em for you and teach em to behave. :shock:

Hi Mary,
Just read this thread and thought you should know Katie is no longer at the Tiki. Mike and Lisa have taken it over now. She might have passed on all of the info about your party, but you might want to call them and make sure they have all of your info. Just a thought to be on the safe side. Glad to hear ya'll are still coming. :D

Yes Lita, we found that out a few months ago and hillibilliegirl has all ready talked to Mike so everything is a go. He seems to be really nice and I can't wait til next weekend when we are there.

The reason they are called shoes is because all woman are so different like a pair of shoes, lol. At least that is shoe.org logic of it and I personally know that I haven't met any two woman that are alike, lol.

Not sure about the rooms being booked but I know that some of the gurls have called other hotels that are booked I booked my room back in February.

Next year we won't plan it so late in the year, I thought August was a good month but everyone said it would be to hot. Doesn't feel much different in September to me. haha. It is to close to diversity I think and plus there are gals that wanted to come that can't because they are in college. But I figure it this way there will be new woman there and for those that have never know about Eureka Springs or never been they will go again.

8 More days and we are off to your neck of the woods.
