:) Hello everyone ! First of all I want to say THANK YOU :D to all who are supporting me about my decision on the Copacabana. If you go to www.geekfest.com and read the topic "Litas Permit" you will have a better understanding, if you haven''t heard the latest.

After April Diversity in the Spring the Copa will be closing due to certain events wich happened last weekend. Basically, I am fed up with local city politics. With that said, I want you to know my whole focus and main objective will be to add more events and more advertising for the GLBT travelor to Eureka Springs. as I will now have much more time to focus on it. I have many ideas I would like to work on, so your stay in Eureka on Diversity weekends each year are full of entertainment , recreation, romance, and events for GLBT families with kids. It is not easy to give up "my baby" the Copacabana, but at the same time, I can do so much more for Diversity. It always has been, and always will be, my favorie weekends of the year ! You will see many changes coming which will benefit all of the GLBT tourists, and all of the gay friendly folks whom enjoy Diversity Eureka Style.

If you are in Texas, be sure and pick up the new issue coming out the end of this month of The Texas Triangle. If you are up around the Kansas City area, pick up the fall edition of Verge Magazine from the JP Media Group. Articles and ads will be in both magazines about Eureka Springs Diversity Weekends.

Frank and I will be traveling to the Habana Inn in Oklahoma City for 3 days on Sept. 27th , 28th, and 29th. We will also be going to Tulsa ....not sure which week yet......but will let you know.

I am still waiting for more info from sponsors on Eurekapride, so stay tuned ! :D

Hugs to all !

Lita,
It's going to be a VERY SAD DAY when the COPA closes..... however I do support your decision!!

I knew from the first time I walked into the Copa, you were a wonderful person....and having been on the 'boards' and seeing all the fantastic things you do to support us....there is not enough "THANK-YOU'S" I can give to repay all you have done!

I've been coming to ES for 9 years for vacations....we first brought our children, then celebrated our union at Pond Mtn....then found Diversity Weekend and the Copa!!! We feel SO comfortable there. We have met several friends at the Copa and look forward to meeting more. We have brought other 'family' to DW and they are now hooked as well!!

I don't know the politics of ES and as a tourist, really don't want to....however being on the boards I can't help but see that it is really messed up there!!! I truly hope that the town can get it together and continue to support diversity.... it would be ashame to loose all that revenue!!

Thank you again Lita for all you have done and the WONDERFUL events that you bring to DW!! Although I'll miss the Copa (terribly) we will continue to come to ES and look forward to seeing what you have in store for future DW (after the April blowout).
