I have seen some of the monsters from Raycliffe and they scared me in the daytime! I also got to tour the loop three times in the hearse! Talk about freaking people out!

:shock: Frank and I went last night too check it out. Mark on the other hand stayed at home, he's a chicken about the whole scary house idea. It was a BLAST. It is really cool how you have to knock and wait your turn to go into the house, so you are not bunched together with people who, might be screaming and scared to death at the whole experience. Thumbs up to the Raycliff Manor!!!!! And as far as the discount coupons go, we have a book here at the Inn for the guest to use if they want as well as the info and poster for them to see before taking the trip out to the Fair Grounds.. But now that I have seen it for myself, I can tell them how to get there as well as how much fun it is...

Hi all! Thanks for the kind words Dawn and Tracey! We are having a blast at the Raycliff Manor Haunt! I can't believe how many people are using the chicken exits! We've had people walk out the front door during the introduction and we have had two adults, on two different occasions, freak out inside and refuse to move forward or back so we had to have all the actors stop acting and escort the individual to the nearest emergency exit. :twisted: I know the whole layout and the actors and I have to tell you, it's still scary to me! I'm glad you enjoyed the haunt Tracey. I'll be anxious to hear what Frankie thought about it. Did you see the magic illusion scene in the haunt? If you go through too fast, it's possible to miss. I don't want to say too much, because I don't want to give it away. It still trips me out to see one of the other actors doing it. I was doing that particular role when you guys went through and it looked like you guys went running right past it. Call me if you don't know what I am referring to. We've added a curtain to stop people so they don't miss it. We're looking forward to a great Halloween season at the haunt. We had people lined up three switchbacks thick last Saturday!

I'm SOOOOO Excited, yet partially bummed.......

We are coming on to ES on Saturday the 30th and going to Raycliff...then to the COPA!!! So I won't be joining you guys on Halloween night----BUT, maybe we can meet up at the COPA saturday night!!!!

I've been trying to get my partner to say 'YES' to coming down saturday so I could go thru Raycliff--but wasn't sure it was going to work out....but now it has...and this weekend she said okie dokie!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!

So look out Lee and Kel.......from the FP board, you got Mel coming either thursday or friday--we'll be there saturday--and you see the big crew coming sunday......!!!! Really hope this has been a HUGE success for you guys....you deserve it!!

Thanks for the support and encouragement everyone. :D Just to give you a report so far:

We have actually had about 6 people walk out the front door during the introduction, 12 people use the emergency, (chicken) exits, 5 different people who would not budge and had to be escorted out, and at least 6 people, that we know of, wet themselves. We have one of the security people at the exit at all times, who is telling us that we are getting rave reviews. We also have gotten great reports back at the ticket booth from people leaving!

On a sad note, unfortunately, we had an incident last Friday night, requiring us to take one of our actors to the hospital. One of the patrons assaulted a 55 year old woman who was acting inside the attraction. We have guides who follow behind the patrons at a short distance to watch for potential problems. Kreglin, the woman who was injured was found on the floor by the guide with some blood coming from her chin. At the time, she didn't remember what had happened. Apparently, she had a concussion. The guide radio'd security and we got her out and to the hospital. Security detained the last group through, questioned them, and took down their license plate information. The swore they had not run into anyone or touched anyone. We assumed Kreglin had tripped and fallen. After her x-rays, at about 3:00a.m., Kreglin came out of shock and remembered the incident. She described the last group through, three guys and a girl, and more specifically, she described her assaulter, a tall white male with very short bleach-blond hair. The doctor was able to determine that Kreglin had taken several blows to her face and one or two to her neck and that her lower jaw was broken. It's amazing how fast something like this can happen! We have filed a police report and the sheriff's department took the license plate information and are following up with an investigation. Poor Kreglin is all of 5'2" tall and 98 pounds soaking wet! We're hoping they catch this guy and Kreglin can prosecute!

Someone please wake me up and tell me this is just a bad dream! Kreglin is one of the sweetest, kindest people you could ever meet and would do anything for anyone. I'm trying to maintain a positive state of mind, but I have to admit, I asked the Sheriff to give us the opportunity to send the guy who assaulted Kreglin through the house one more time and give us open game on him. I try to avoid feelings of hostility and anger, but I guess this situation is just too hard a pill to swallow. Please join me in sending positive thoughts, energy and prayers in Kreglin's direction. If you knew her, your heart would be broken like mine.

I just had to say, we increased our "Tinkle Tally" last night again. Just a suggestion; use the rest room before entering the haunted attraction. :wink: We also had some people turn around about two minutes into the haunt and head back out the front door. :lol: :twisted: We're getting rave reviews at the exit and having a blast :!: When you go through the haunt, make sure to keep an eye out for our "special illusion". I can't say too much without gicing it away. :wink:

The 28th for a cpl reasons. We are going to Fayetteville that day for Ginger to have a professional make over (lucky girl) and will just drive on to Eureka after that. Plus, Jared has to work Sunday morning of Halloween and has to be in bed pretty early Sat night, especially since he is going to work as Ginger and has to get up at 2 am to get ready, YIKES!!! So the 28th is the only time we can make the mansion, and I sure didn't want to miss it!!
BUT.....we are meeting Doc and Sharon for dinner and Doc said that he thinks that he and maybe Sharon too (depending on her work schedule for Fri) will go with us. To tell ya the truth...i hope so...i am starting to get a little skeered, LOL. Seriously!! I really don't want to go alone.

Ya gonna be at work Friday morning?? If so we will stop and see ya before leaving town!!

We went to Raycliff last night. No I did not pee my pants but I was so sceered. I'm sure Billy and Carrie will show you the imprints of my hand around theirs. :oops: It was really good. I did it for everyone I love here but they will have to do the next one by theirselves. I just cant do it. I was so scared :oops:

To Kelly and Lee GOOD JOB!!!!!!! You guys know I love ya but I was so scared. The house was awesome. I bow down to you and the actors that did the haunt. They were all great. I'm sure I knew some of them but the make-up was great. If anyone didnt get to go through this you missed it.
