Where to start? This past weekend was the best ever.
I had the awesomest and bestest crowd of people visiting here.
All the dip has been eaten, I fed the last of the boobie cake to Dawn's Michael on Saturday night, the molting feathers from boas have been vaccuumed up, the pink ballons have been popped, all the rooms are cleaned and
I miss you all so much already.
It's like post Diversity depression!
The only thing thing that perks me up a little is looking at Sparky's
rainbow boa that is still twinkling. Like Sparky, it keeps on going and going and going.
I don't have the words to describe this awesome feeling of love and friendship and true diversity that I felt this weekend.
The Meet & Greet on Friday was the best. THANK YOU to everyone that came and THANK YOU to everyone for bringing so much stuff. Tequila, limeade, lime juice, colored Margarita salt, cookies, tortilla roll-ups, dips (Georgie you are the Queen of dip making! YUMM), chips, mountains of crackers, potato and tortilla chips, cranberry chutney, raspberry chipotle sauce over cream cheese, black bean salsa, salsa dip, honey mustard dip with pretzels, nut bread, flavored cream cheese, hamburger cookies (I have never seen a cuter cookie in my life and soooo good), potato salad and boobie cake. I may have forgotten something, please forgive me if I did.
And then there was the BRISKET!
You know, Joleen, in a way I was glad you forgot that hunk of meat at home, because cooking that brisket in my kitchen while we were making boobie cake on Thursday night was so nice and so much fun.
We got to talk and joke and have a good time.
I know the meat didn't measure up to your and Darcie's standards, but I and everyone else thought it was the most delicious and the best we have ever eaten. Covered in your and Darcie's BBQ sauce it was full of flavor and just melted in your mouth. It was definitely the highlight of all the food at the party. THANK YOU both so much for doing this, TWICE
On top of all of this there were even birthday surprises just for me. You guys brought me to tears with your thoughtfulness. Even people that I had never met before showered me with love that touched my heart to the core.
I will never forget this.
Because of you, my garden will be the most beautiful and colorful ever this year with all the yard art and decor and wonderful plants and bulbs you have given me.
Well, I could go on and on and on about all of you wonderful people and this awesome weekend.
I feel so blessed having all of you in my lives and being able to count you
as my friends.
Everyone left their rooms picked up and neat. Thank you for that as well.
I cannot wait til November to do it all over again!
Much love to all of you and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU a million times over for everything, but especiallly for your love and friendship!
