I was so glad that you were at Sherwood Forest! It was a sign, I think, that you two were the first ones we saw when arriving...a sign of good times to come! You know I love ya both!

Darci, I loved your spechal speech at the lake but the best was when you were saying, like spechal Darci does...ever so quietly..what the sparkling ring that Leslie gave all of us was! You just rock girl! I knew I would love ya but I just didn't realize how much!
Brock, you sexy thang you! Loved your show~loved your company~ and you better count on Michael and I getting up to one of those fishing weekends at the lake. I am looking forward to it!
Hope you had a great trip home and we will all be waiting for a trip report and a "behind the scenes" report as well!

Thanks for the compliment on the brisket, although it wasnt quite up to our standards, ok, but not the best. But after we left the really good one sitting on the garage table what was a girl gonna do. So, we just cooked another one.

You and hubby better get on up here for a fishing trip this summer. We will show you all some real cooking.

The only weekend that wouldnt be good for us is the weekend of August 19. We are in a fishing tourney that weekend so will be pretty busy.

Anyway it was great to see ya this past weekend and miss ya already.

Was great getting to see you on Saturday, seems like I didnt have enough time to really get to visit tho. Was kinda nervous and then busy getting ready for the show.

Guess its time for my trip report.

You all know that we forgot the brisket at home, left it sitting on the garage table. The folks back home had some good eatin all weekend on that. I knew when Darci and I were leaving home Thursday morning that we were forgetting something, because I just kept walking back in the house looking. Well about 4 hours into the trip it hit me that it was that darn Brisket. Soo, we decided to stop at a grocery store in Cassville, MO to buy another brisket. Hoping that Nick and Renate would let us use their bbq and their oven.

When we arrived Thursday evening we were welcomed with big warm hugs from Nick and Renate. Then I had to tell them the bad news about the brisket, and asked to use the bbq grill and oven so we could get another one cooked. The fact that we forgot the brisket was actually a blessing in disguise, as I got to spend the evening with Nick and Renate in their kitchen. It was fantastic . I not only was able to get the brisket cooked but got to learn how to make boobie cake and drink german schnapps WOW.

Got to also meet Georgie and her DW virgins Tammi and Debbie. Georgie it was great to finally meet you, Darci has talked about you so much. Girl I had so much fun getting to meet you. You see Georgie was out neighbor at Sherwood Forest umm i mean Court. So we had many late night talks. Oh and Georgie I hope I didnt scare (dont know which is which) Tammi or Debbie when I was in your room picking on her!!!

We awoke Friday morning to rain and Darci doing her rain rain go away dance. Well I guess it worked because the rain did stop in time for the meet n greet. Somebody remind me in November to have Darci do a let it warm up a little bit more dance. Anyway we had to make a trip to the Tradewinds to see our bois, Lee and Kel, you guys are the greatest. While we were there we also got to meet Lisa and Theresa and Shelly and Yvette. It was great to meet all of you, and I look forward to getting to know you all better. Hopefully in November :D .

Then it was back to Sherwood Forest (Court) to slice up brisket, lather it in bbq sauce (and a special secret) and stick it in the oven for stage 2 of the cooking.

The rain stopped, and the meet n greet was great. It was awesome to see Sparky and Dawn in the Pink competition. I do believe Sparky won! :wink: Duffer, it was great to meet you and your wife Jackie. It was also good to meet your (I think) brother in law Jim and his wife (cant remember her name :oops: ) Duffer, pleeaassee can Jackie come back and play with us again, she was just a hoot. Also, you have to tell Jim thanks for teaching Darci a spechal magic trick, she will use that in her spechal act from now on :) ! Also, Ray it was great to meet you finally. Next time dont be so shy and quiet :wink:

Sparky, thanks also for dragging (did I say that) Danny aka Twinkle along with you for the weekend. He was absolutely a joy to meet and be around. Danny you got to get on the board.

Matt, thank you again for the great picture. I already have it up in the bedroom. You have a great talent there, I am so impressed. I also so enjoyed talking with you again. You are very special to me, muah!!

Nick & Renate, a special thank you and hugs and kisses for letting me use your kitchen, and being so understanding about the brisket. Your hospitality, friendship, and kindness are unsurpassable. Eureka Springs should pay you all for all the people you bring to their town, and the special things you do to make them feel so welcome :wink: .

Saturday, was a beautiful day. We woke to sunshine, blue sky, and birds chirping. Tami and I convinced Connie and Darci to go shopping with us. Believe me you all this was a big thing, cause neither Connie or Darci shop. But we had a really good time, and found some good buys.

Then it was back to Sherwood Forest (Court) to pack up the cooler and all of 'Brocks' stuff and head for the Festival. That was when I realized that this was really going to happen. I was going to PERFORM AAAAHHHHH :shock:

We arrived at the festival, what a sight!!! 8)

thing you did for all of us. Katie and Jeannie, thank you also for all your hard work and the idea.

We were met by the man, Michael, hugs and kisses were had by all.

Met more people, and more people, and got to spend time with a lot of old friends too.

Had a blast following Darci around with those beads. Thanks honey for letting me share. :twisted: :D

Then it was time to get ready for the show. I just want to let you all know that Darci started this by posting on this board that I was "toying" with the idea. We almost had a trip to the woodshed on that one :shock: . But then Alana and I decided to do it. Thus, 'Brock' was born. I must admit that when they announced his name, my heart was in my throat and I almost wanted to be sick. Then I hit the stage and all the hours of practice in the living room with Darci as my critic paid off, and 'Brock' just took over. Guys, I really had a good time and hope you all enjoyed it. Blue dont lose the bowtie!!! :wink:

As with all good things, the night had to end. So it was back to Sherwood and our midnight chat outside. Thanks guys for sharing so much.

Sunday morning was another beautiful day, but it was sad also, because your know you have to pack up and leave all these wonderful friends behind. The good thing is that you know in just 6 short months, we will all be together again.

You all need to add November to your calendar's, and accept this as your official invitation. I REPEAT! No invitations will be sent, but your all invited to attend Darci and I's special ceremony at Sherwood Forest (Court). Exact Day and Time to be announced later. Yes, Dawn, you will be the flower girl, and yes Sparky, you will be the ring bearer, and Denise you are the official planner. So get ready guys for another DW party.

One last thing and then I will quit rambling. I want to say a special thank you to our bestest friends Connie and Tammi for doing all the driving and making this weekend so great, and mark your calendars for November!

The bbq sauce does have a name and a label, it is JoBo's. This is a combination of my first name and Darci's last name. We were going to do first names but JoDa's just didnt do it for us!!!! :shock:

Dont know if we will ever put it on the market, kinda expensive to do.

I'm so sorry I missed the brisket. I had already eaten by the time I made the meet and greet, so I didn't dare mess up. I'm actually loosing and lord knows I need to! LOL ! I am a BBQ conasoure (sp) though and I hope that you'll have another in November! Being from Texas I have to be one of those ya know ! LOL ! Anyway, my brief stop at the M&G wasn't nearly enough DW for me :(

Yeah, Joleen, I am really glad we had the opportunity to cook that brisket and spend quality time in the kitchen. (Don't forget to mail me
the recipe!). I so enjoyed it, plus I got all the good dish on Brock first hand.

Your Brock was just fantastic! It is really hard to believe that was his
first time out. He just took off right away! Well, he really TOOK OFF at the end :shock:
