FYI---- As a social worker I am always looking for equal rights for myself as well as others.
I discovered this adoption agency in Houston, ironically ran by a social worker, willing to provide adoption for alternative families from other states. Family to Family adoption agency! :D Check it out!

:D That's very interesting. My partner and I aren't interested, but I am sure there are lots of people out there who would be. Thanks for the information.

That's something we'll have to keep in mind. Eventually my partner and I have thought about adopting. It'll be a few years though.

I am ALL for adoption! As long as it's not some foriegn child! Too many american kids get passed up for some poor pitiful kid from another country across the ocean.

It is not for me to decide what person or couple decides for themselves to make their family complete. I feel all children, regardless of their nationality, deserve a good home with loving parents. What works for one family may not work for another.
BUT in this particular case....this agency(above) places AMERICAN children.

Thanx for the info.

I'm way too old for that sort of thing, but have all sorts of admiration for those who jump through all the hoops to adopt.

You're right. EVERY child deserves a loving home.

I know we're having a "gaybee boom" right now so let folks now there are options out there for us.
