WooHoo!
This past weekend I went to my first Luau. What a blast I had!
Food, drink ( peach bellini dispenser machine ) , lounging by the pool. Party games.
Oh yes - I made a margarita cake for the first time. It was popular with the other guests, less so with me. If anyone wants the recipe let me know.
The hostess decorated very thoroughly, using fish nets, plastic fish and lobsters, etc... Tiki torches and leis abounded. Cocounut and shell bras, grass skirts, funny hats, flipflops, and lots of temp tattoos for the weenies ( me ) who are afraid to do it yet.
It was so relaxing to sit at a party and just BE.
There was EVEN a little harmless, Completely meaningless flirting.
Wouldn;t you know it - my first and only onscreen kiss was with a coconut.
:x
We hula danced led by a new friend of mine, hula hooped, and limbo'd.
The party ended @ 0400 Sunday morning. This was my first mainstream party - noone knew S***, just Cathy. It felt very affirming. 8)

That sounded like a great party Cathy! Makes me want to put on a Luau!
I still have a folded up Hula Girl in a box somewhere; left-over from the Spring DW designer Porta Potty .

" ....coconut bras and lots of temp tattoos for the weenies.."
for a minute here I got a visual   , before I realized what you were talking about.

Hi Doc!
I am sure anyone willing to travel this far would have been welcome!
It was all kinds of fun. -
Of course I denied the flirting - 'cause that's just me :)
I was set to get on the back of his bike and ride in the moonlight . Only intoxication and *such* kept him from riding.
Hope your day goes well.

Am glad to hear that some of your intoxiated judgement wasnt impared to the point that you thought it best not to go for that bike ride..as you know, riding a bike is DANGEROUS enuff sober and very DEADLY when youre drunk..GOOD DECISION! As for flirting, one of these day I may hafta try that!

Doc!
No, I wouldn;t have gone, but desperately WANTED to.
Gosh had I known flirting as Cathy was Soo fun, I'd have started 30 years earlier!
Now I have all this hawaii type stuff left over.
MY step sister would be proud - Somewhere that night I lost my coco bra.
Still there are leis, skirts, beachcomber hats, Lots of floral hair things..
There aren;t so many places to wear them aside from a huki - luau
