A lot is starting to Rock & Roll for summer Diversity and I am in the middle of a small crisis.

Roger and I are moving this week and tho it is only 3 doors away he has had some set backs with his Cancer treatment.

Roger has developed a blood infection. We spent nine hours today at the UAMS clinic. We return tomorrow for a PET Scan, MRI, Cat Scan and more IV antibiotic drips for the infection. The IV drips will be a everyday happening for the next 7 days and Roger can no longer drive himself. We think he may have broken several ribs as well. He can not do ANYTHING and has been popping oxycodone like candy and it doesn't even phase the throbbing pain. Yes he is a bit pissssseeeee from being in sooooo much pain  BUT....we are looking forward to being with everyone this summer and it looks like we can do this

for all those who I have yet to respond to your emails please forgive me I am backed up and behind on everything!

this is only a SMALL (well oay it's HUGE)setback but WE will be in EUREKA for SUMMER... so come on let's start packing and getting the word out because SUMMER DIVERSITY is a FIRST and with over 500 in prize money for the Sunday night Doris and Rock Look-A-Like contest pluss the Tradewinds chance to win a 2 night stay in the Doris or Rock Bungalow! OH and $50 for the GO-GO dance on Saturday at Eureka Live with the Collide Dance ...not only can you make some bucks it is going to be a HOT HOT HOT TIME!

So sorry to hear about the setback. It just sounds so extremely painful! Timing is everything, eh? It's a good thing you asked for help, because it sounds like you're absolutely snowed under.

I won't be a volunteer, 'cause Mom took a bad fall Monday night and had to have about a 5" gash in her right hand and arm stitched. Won't go into gory details, but she got quite banged up, so I'm playing nurse here. Also, my friend Nancy and I realized that we wouldn't be having the Coronation of the Queens of the Golden Phoenix in Hot Springs, as we had happily planned, because neither one of us was physically up to the trip. So I'll leave the move assist to stronger, younger folk. Sounds like you've got some great offers, though, including equipment! Whether it's 3 doors or 3000 miles away, a move is a move, and it's known to be a major stressor.

So the best you can do is to take care of Roger AND yourself, and rely on your friends to carry you away from there. Wishing you many blessings, and sending positive thoughts and prayers.

Roger is doing better.

He has had 3 days of IV antibiotic drips at 3 hours a pop and made it through a PET scan and Bone aspiration yesterday  .

The cancer counts have started on the rise again but the good news is he has finished the clinical test study for UAMS (he was the only volunteer and they wanted 30) and will they will now start next week to aggressively treat his cancer.

Now he can walk and the pain has eased up considerably

and the old Dawg still looks better then most of us

Spark, I'll PM you later when I have more time, on my days off. You two hang in there.

That disease has been a tough one for me to handle and speak of, even after all these years. For it was my Mother. Back then it, that cancer, was akin to the terror of being 'sick' with AIDS. Both situations are more promising now.

Later.
