Fire started about 7 something..not sure of the cause. Kim and I were there til around 11 or so...still burning...

I drove by today after closing the shop & it was really sad.......lots of good memories for us there with our Boy Scout Troop when it was still the Methodist Church. For me personally tho, the next day was the worst; when the fire flared up again & we had tons of firetrucks screaming up Spring St. followed by all the ambulances, we were scared to death that something had happened to "our boys" while fighting the fire. And then all the toxic smoke from the electrical wires, etc., started to drift downtown all the way to my place on S. Main........ All I wanted to do was to close up shop & scurry up there with cold drinks for everyone & do a head count.

Everytime I witness one of these fires downtown I get so sad.....it's such a loss in so many ways, & for Pat to worry about her employees' futures, is just soooo Eureka when the bad things happen. We all love you Pat & will be there to help you & them out. :(
