News on My Mom [Archive]

Well, I don't want to bring anyone down with DW coming up but I need more hmms and good thoughts. Mom's tests came back and she may have colon cancer, too. Anyone give me positive thoughts on this? Combined with breast cancer?? She was planning a trip to ES during chemo to boost her spirits but she isnt sure now. Thanks for letting me share.

I can - one of my dear friends was diagnosed with breast cancer, had surgery, and then radiation treatment. Less than a year later she was diagnosed with colon cancer, had surgery and then radiation treatment. This was all in the same year she turned 50. It has been about 3 years now, and she has a clean bill of health so far!

Keep your chin up, think positive thoughts.

Good News!!! :D :D :D Yeah!! It isn't colon cancer, just a smudge on the test whatever!! Can you imagine?? Are they trying to give us heart attacks?!?!? Thanks for everything again. We are all very releived and planning if all goes well a trip to ES last weekend of Sept. Anyone want to meet Mom?!? Thanks again!!

Thanks! Love to meet you to if we already havent. Yes a smudge! Will keep everyone informed at least on the funny side of things as we go thru chemo. As I said she has her wigs and fuzzy things ready LOL

Thanks and we are doing the thanking too she was so scared so was I but now even thos she still has cancer it is something we can understand and fix! Thanks again!

Yes I truly believe that all the good thoughts are what helped. I know it helped me too! We werent coming down for summer DW but we may be able to after all (not mom) just myself and Lin my partner (of 22 years! we just had another anniversary in May) hopefully will see everyone then! In person!
