:D That is very interesting. Everytime we are in Eureka, he passes out those coupons to come in for a cinnamon roll. If he only knew who he was passing those out to, huh? Your right, Cyber, maybe someone family friendly or even "family" would buy it.

The first time we came up and met everyone was last yr at the summer get together at the tradewinds and we brought another couple with us as well. well the other couple kept going on and on about how great these cinamon rolls were at a place in downtown ES. so they bought a couple boxes of them thinking me and jamie would chow down on them (i love cinnamon rolls) yeah didnt happen...i choked down one and so did jamie....they were NASTY!!!! and then we found out that they seemed to close during DW that we decided to completly boycott them!!!! lol I hope someone buys the place that knows how to cook and is friendly.

Maybe a sandwich shop would be good. By the time you get to that part of downtown that's all you want anyways is some food and the chance to rest. I didn't figure he'd last long anyways.

i was just getting ready to link to this jan - you beat me to it!
very interesting - don't you think?
Sounds like CC Cinnamon is doing everyone a big favor by closing!
Maybe some Mom and Mom or Pop and Pop entrepeneurs can step in.......
we can hope, anyway!

Wowsers,
Disclaimer: Just observations from a non-local.
A MERCHANT is closing the doors to a Cinnamo Roll shop during a busy weekend?
Let's be pragmatic - It's a weekend off for the owner.
How often would they close during high season otherwise?
He can say he's been impacted by DW - The shop won;t make money during DW.
This process occurs in nature too you know -
Some life forms adapt and flourish. The rest? We call them fossils.

Dave is normally closed on Sundays, but he closes for the whole weekend when it's DW time. During the season, depending on which day you go there to "eat" & I use the term looslely.....depends on the "quality" of food you get served---again looslely. Monday is your best bet. Tuesday, hhmmm, if you have to. Wed., Thurs., Fri., Sat., you're getting left-over food from all week long-----they just keep adding new to old & sandwiches that were made on Mon. or Tues. & wrapped until sold........

The realtor must have gotten the names of all the sponsors on this board and sent them a letter advertising the listing for that business.
How do I know that? Cause we got two letters.
One was addressed to Sherwood Court
The other was addressed to the Sherwood Forest Hillbillly Spa
(remember the purple porta pottie in April and Sparky listing us as such on the sponsors page?)

I talked to Deb from Diversity Pride last night and she had gotten a listing thing too. I think it's hilarious.

Why would anyone pay 174K plus change for a sandwich/cinnamon roll shop and that does not include the building. The boy in awful proud of his food and non-existent clients. I could see 8 - 9 thousand in equipment but other than that you got to be joking. Good Luck to the religious right wing close for DW conservative. My advise is just close up and go away.

It was a hand addressed envelope, too. Somebody actually took a pen and wrote The Sherwood Forest Hillbilly Tea Room Spa
Hilarious!
If we're gonna have the Tea Room Spa again, will you and Jamie be the interior decorators again? You did a bang up job in April.

I didnt get a chance to help decorate the last time...i think i was vegging in the hot tub!!! lol
jamie and sparky and i think someone else did the decorating on it...but if we do it again we will both be decorating this time!!!
we did do the clean up on it the day we left. even that was fun...
I wish there was a way we could incorperate it and a fund raiser for charity. i liked the idea from before but due to complaints didnt get to happen.
It was a really cute idea. and so much fun. it really made good pics too. lol

She gets sick for one day and I come home from work to find I've been signed up for a crappy job. Oh well lol. Be more than happy to decorate again. Might want to ponder up some more fundraising ideas for it this time.

Yeah, so about 5 years ago I found out that cc cinnamon delivers. I ordered a sandwich and they asked if I wanted cheese and I said "sure" and they put Cheez Whiz on it and YUCK! How much WHIZ is in Cheez Whiz :?: :?: :?: :?:
