View Full Version : And talk about more un-friendly things go on in Eureka....

Charlotte and the Sunday Market and Cinema 13 are being sued...
Read the above link and please post your thoughts on Geekfest.
Charlotte needs all the support here and over there she can get.
Did it.
Sounds like some kind of sour grapes by the folks who have filed suit. (?)
We thoroughly enjoyed the Market when we were there last. It would be a shame to see it end....in fact, I'd like to see it grow.

:? I couldn't log in to geekfest. I think I've logged in before, but this time it wouldn't let me. So, I thought I would put my 2cents worth here. Lisa and I went to the market one time while we were there before. We've never heard or have been interested in those two shops mentioned. I feel that all this lawsuit is doing is making people aware of them, but not in the way that they want people to be aware of them. They are going to get negative publicity and they won't make money like that. And as Jamie said,"why can't we just get along?"

To keep the peacefulness of EPride, I'm personally asking that posting happens on Geekfest, where it has gone on for a few years now. Trust me. You don't want the ugliness of this situation on the Pride board. There's a LOT involved here; if you need/want background history of the situation, you can find it all on GF starting from Jan. or Feb. of '05, thread by mmouse.
OR, you can email/PM Kim & Jan for one side of the story, & then me for the other side of the story.
This is NOT something that belongs on EPride; Jan---tsk, tsk, tsk. 8) Let's keep the uglies at "home" & keep at least one spot free of taint & full of peace & love, ok?
That was the invitation that started this thread, mmouse: post your thoughts on Geekfest.
I believe we're all in agreement here.
Tsk, tsk.

Tsk, tsk, tsk! And I tought 'Gaylord' was the bombthrower. I thought I made a concilatory post on this subject over at my ' Home' on GF. Nobody paid attention at all.
Then when I read my last post on another thread at GF about another topic, then I realized this heat even gets to me. It ain't a blood stiirring, love mooning, kind of heat moon struck, nor a bone raiser that I prefer. Not in this case, I went for the jugular in small font, personal feelings of hurt, politics over passions of love.
No. no, no, my post was a slash and burn against another board, not this one, that was better left unsaid. Should have left my questions with out reference, those questions that I ask should've stood on their own.
Now, I'd prefer the passion of the flesh or at least mind. Maybe that least should be first. :D :) 8) 8)
Now here's something to brighten my day! Looking at the Pride Board and seeing, "Young Sweet Virgin" under Gaylord's name.
Have you been re-virginized, Gaylord? I've heard it can be done. Do tell! What is the procedure? Does it hurt?
LOL :D
It's a lovely day out there ... at least 20 degrees cooler than it has been for a week, so I'm going to go work in my flower garden.

Re-virginized no way, there is no 're' to it! It's kinda like in the catholic church. In a far away starter castle my sluttiness was 'annulled', therefore it never happened. The procedure was painless in body, well sorta, but Saint Sparky got his due in 'services' and silver.
I was shown the true path to Exodus and it's saintly ex-gay way.
Now I'm off to work in my fruit garden, a treasure trove of earthly delights.

MMouse I disagree with you and the others about the market, but you are right EP is not a place for this to be argued about. As an outsider in the whole thing boycott is our option to voice our own opinion, but to boycott you must first shop in these shops and I do not.
