For the first time in awhile someone called me sir. I am disappointed.
True I was in drab, as I am every working day.
This bothers me less than it used to. Same with pronoun usage, and name. Last weekend at a pool party , I was called many things - :D
including Scot, Cathy, Hey YOU - didn;t bug me a bit. This is a big enough development it warranted a post, IMO. Mostly b/c it is unexpected. My wise wonderful gender Dr used to remind me " Knowing why would not change anything ".Christ, I thought someday it'd allll fall into place.
Didn;t mean to vent, just a tad frustrated.

Glad that it doesnt bother you as much as it use to but understand that it is still a little jab atcha..but you also gotta know it is kinda like riding a motorcyle, when you ride, you "assume" the risk of riding, same goes if you dress down..hang in there gf, whats important is that you are here with us and we KNOW who you are!

Anytime you get down Cathy remember a complete stranger (basically) had no clue you were TG'ed and thought you were a woman 100%. It killed me to tell Delana. Just remember that anytime you get down. People who've never seen you and then see you dressed up truly believe you are female. I knew, but if I wouldn't have, I would've thought you were female too. The hormones have really started feminizing the face for you.

Doc and Dreamwalking,
Nice to see you guys.
Doc, you make a great point. - :D As usual
Jamie, that was unexpected but an uplifting surprise.
My Dr. says I need to periodically view recent pics due to something., but I don;t remember why. Anyway I haven;t done it yet. :?
Background: I crosslive, which means I am male only at work.
I help support a family member. Keeping this job is necessary.
After reading, group meetings, and speaking to another TG @ work, I made a decision. I'll do this long as I can stand it - My Pop is more important. He sacrificed more for me, for years. That's how it works.
Thanks to all for understanding.

I too thought you were 100% Female when I met you.
I tell all the girls "You all look a like to me"
this makes Dawn so mad! She is forever asking me what did she look like and I have to tell her I only remember what he looked like

When I met you....there was no doubt you were a woman..and it wasnt JUST looks..it was the aura, spirit, strength, whatever u want to call it that you simply exuded.....
people make mistakes all the time, chalk this up to this guy just not payin attention and missing out on the wonderul WOMAN you are

Cathy,
We met at the Lumberyard and I didn't realize you were CathyB59 (TG) until I got home. So, what I'm trying to say is you were very convincing to me.
Besides, we butches are always getting called sir. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. Oh well.....

Kathy,
Like jamie said I had NO clue you were TG. When we got back to the room that night and were talking about everyone we had met and talked to, I told her that i thought you were a pretty lady and love your hair color. that is when jamie broke the news to me...i didnt believe her...she had to get her laptop out and pull up your profile on here and show me. I was stunned!!!! I would try not to let one goofball upset you.

Cathy, as everyone else said, and Mia said so well, I never doubted for a moment that you were a woman, when I met you. And I like to think I'm pretty sharp. Keep the faith, baby!

Hi Cathy:
When someone uses the incorrect pronoun by mistake, I see it as an opportunity to educate. I get called sir when I have makeup and very girly clothes, and ma'am when I run out the store in no makeup and sweats.
If the mistake is not said and spite, I smile. OK, often a smirk, but I get an instant correction with an apology, even though I didn't ask for one. Often I educate them by telling them a little bit about people like us.
Not surprising, everyone gets the Freudian slips every once in awhile. Some take these slips, which maybe an honest slip, to heart, effecting their ability to just be who they are without worrying about who notices or not.
When I first met you, I thought you dropped your kids off for soccer and made a wrong turn. :)

I thought Kathy looked like some HIP Mother that was in town to scout out a few garage sales for antiques for a high end shop out of Dallas
