You guys who weren't in town missed a nice gay ol' time in the city. We arrived early Saturday (well noon) and checked in with Steve. We went down to visit Nick and Renate and found Darci and Joleen. It was great to see all and we visited for awhile. Thanks to Renate for the margaritas. We went back to our hotel and waited on the band after grabbing a small bite to eat. Got the band downtown and to the shell at Basin Park. You should've been there this group was FABULOUS!!
We went out to eat with Mel and Ginger afterwards and enjoyed the Gallery Walk. That evening we called it quits early because Delana hadn't been feeling too good. (Allergies) She did wake up about 10pm and decided to get out of the hotel room so we did drive around. Sorry to all those we talked about getting together with later that night. I just couldn't drag her out until she got some rest.
Sunday was horrible weatherwise. It was rainy and cold, but for those who were in town and not working you could've warmed yourself up to the sounds of Hannah Blaylock and Eden's Edge. It was a great concert. The tickets were only $10 and well worth it. It's rare you get a two hour show for $10.
I've heard a lot said about the parade and I missed it because we had to take care of the band, but it seems all in all it was not what it normally is. I'm going to be adding a post soon about that.

Hey everyone!!! It was a good weekend overall...other than the fact that i wasnt feeling up to par. We did have fun though but it was a crazy weekend. I hate that we didnt get to meet up with folks like we had discussed. I am looking forward to DW and getting to see everyone again!!!!

my weekend was a wedding on Saturday
The BEST MAN (who met me in Eureka for Spring Diversity) panicked
he forgot to purchase anything to decorate the Bride & Grooms car
I missed the service and yes I had in my truck behind the seat Purple Duck Tape, Rainbow Crepe Paper, Felt Stick On Letters and TONS
of CONDOMS! the car looked great
on Sunday I drove to Little Rock and picked up the 5foot by 5 foot
new mirror we ordered from an artist in Indiana

note: have never removed the plastic from the chairs because the wall where the windows are will need to be replaced

Well blow me over!!!!
Scott and I were also in Eureka this past Sat night. We did get hung up on the edge of town. Some one put there Motor home in the trees. It coused one heck of a traffic jam we waited about an hour. We got to Ermielios at about 8 and sat down at the table at 9:30pm. But we had a great time .. Had I known every one was out and about we may have chased them down... LOL
Love to all

the trick DOC is to go there in the WINTER....like a weekend when Steve does one of those great Papermoon Productions. I NEVER waited and
as a result I now understand why people do the wait.
the food was that good!

Ermilio's is damn good food. We went during the summer on a Wednesday and showed up at 4:45. We had to wait until they opened, but we were one of the first groups that got seated no problem.
Jamie
We were there (ermilios) last summer. GREAT food.
Sparkette, your place looks nice!

Evidently, Eureka was just PACKED with BBS out of towners last weekend! My sister and I were there too (Jamie and Delana can vouch for us :D) We even stayed at Eureka House....the home away from home!!
Tip on Ermilios. There is no problem getting in on off-nights. I usually go on Sunday or Monday nights when there is no line. During off-season, the restaurant is never full allowing for quiet leisurely dining. :P

I'll vouch for her. Yep it seems me and DiVirginated are always meeting up when we're in town and both seem to be on the every three week thing. So in three weeks we'll be seeing you again. Right?...(C'mon it's DW, you can't miss it.)

For those of us who hope to make Eureka home in the next few years, it is part of our duty to be up there as much as possible lol.

:D Yes it is. Jamie, are you and Delana thinking of moving in a few years, or is it going to be awhile? As we've said before, it will definately be after the kids get out of school. I also will definately have my Master's by then and Lisa will be long out of Medic school.

Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later

:D That would be wonderful to move there sooner, but that idea isn't feasible with us. It would be impossible with my kids living in Missouri and with hers going back and forth to their dad's. Also, I need to be done with school so I can have an even better job than I have now. Hey, if you and Jamie get there first, we could always have a place to stay when we came to visit.
