Guys we did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cinema Pride will have its first meeting on November 9 (Thursday) at Easy Street in Little Rock. Our first film is a one that is just beginning the festival circuit and from what I have seen is quite good,
Michael Henderson of Easy Street is glad to welcome us and has even suggested that the book club meet there as well. It is good for the bar and good for us and is a sure sign that people will know we are here.
Sorry I can't disclose the name of the film yet as I am waiting for email confirmation but it looks good..
We have Sean Metcalf, one of our newest members, to thank for hepling me secure this film..
Cinema Pride is an offshoot of Literary Pride and will meet monthly to view and talk about a movie ofinterest to our community. It will be like a mini movie festival with the latest movies being shown--even before they make it to theaters or DVDs.
Any of you from the north that would like to join us, feel free. I am sure hospitality can be arranged and it will be our pleasure to host.

The film maker of Long-Term Relationship, Rob WIlliams, is a friend of mine. Long-term Relationship has been making the Gay Film Festival Circut. I got to see at OutFlix in Memphis. It was very well recieved there and won the Jury Prize. Rob is filming his next film project and hopefully he will let Cinema Pride screen it when it is finished. To help him out, I reviewed it on IMDB.com. I will post my short review on the Cinema Pride thread on this board.
