We're snowed in big time.

Snow is great, snuggle in with a stout coffee drink and play cards or something. I will not go anywhere for a week or so due to the snow. It usually takes 5 days longer for us to get out unless we have a heat wave. It stinks not having 4 wheel drive anymore. Ah well maybe I can get some creations done on the computer. My biggest fear is no power, then I would go nuts...I know short trip for me, but still.

Thank you All for the b-day sentiments, it is very appreciated, especially after the events of yesterday.

The place I work had decided to close at 1 due to weather, we should have ended up closing earlier then that because by the time we cleaned up and did the paperwork the roads were too bad for me to drive on. I am a flat lander and very nervous about driving in this stuff on hills, not to mention that I had a pick-up with nothing in the back and no 4-wheel drive (although, Jared and I both saw several 4-wheel drive vehicles off the road so I don't know how much that helps).
Anyway...had to wait for a ride and ended up staying at the store after we closed for 2 hours, got home a little after 3:30 finally but then had to worry about Jared, what normally took him 50 minutes to drive took 2 hrs and 40 min, he had to backtrack and go different routes a cpl times due to wrecks.

It was a crazy day and I was tired from the events, so I went to bed at 6 and just got up not long ago. I was so bummed though that I couldn't get to Renates for my beautiful cake but at least I have a picture of it! She even made it a white cake just for me, I bet it was SO yummy.

Thank you my friend, it looks beautiful and I bet it tastes even better. We will make up for this....look out Eureka when the snow clears :roll: :twisted: There is going to be girls ready to party!

Hope everyone is safe and warm! I am going to start some stew before too long, put a log on the fire and a pot of coffee on, beer bread will be made later. I actually really love snow and I am going to enjoy it!

Oh, by the way....I get to end up enjoying my cake every time I use the PC....it is now the back ground on my desk top! The only thing missing...is being able to taste it :roll:

:( Sorry, Mel that you missed going out. My school let those of us leave who lived far away(about an hour for me) around 3 yesterday, which I think we should have left around 2-230. But when I saw some of the wrecks, it was probably a good thing that I didn't leave earlier. What usually takes me an hour to drive, took me over 2 hours. Anyway, my class was canceled for last night, churches all over canceled services, and the mall in Jonesboro closed at 5 pm. All the schools around were closed by 8 pm for today except for mine. Mine did eventually close, and I found out about 5:11 this morning. Anyway, everyone stay warm and safe.
