Hello all. Apologies if this is the wrong place to post.

My partner and I will be visting Eureka Spings in Late May/Early June and I had 2 quick questions.

1) Books I have read indictae average temperature is in the mid 70's during this time. I have high hopes, but little faith. That true or are we looking at 90's-100's?

2) Are there any places that a gay couple should just avoid? ES seems to be a very embracing and diverse place, but I realize no place is perfect.

Thanks for any advice you can give!

reecemr1 you will Love EUREKA!

The weather could well range between 70-90. I doubt you will see it scorching up to the 100's till August.

What brings you to the Ozarks?

Will you be camping?

How long will you be in Eureka?

Need a room, a cabin or an entire house?

The May Fest is the entire month of MAY.

reecemr, I've been to Eureka a number of times. (from Kansas City)

Although my experiences there are somewhat limited, I've never felt like I wasn't welcome, with (or without) my significant other. I have heard of only one business that was less than accepting, and that business has recently been sold - - - to 2 gay men. (yay!!)

(I did make the mistake of entering a business that made me feel less than wanted, but it had nothing to do with my being gay. The woman working there was less than cordial. Again, it had nothing to do with sexuality and, I believe, everything to do with her just being a bitch.)

Being in the middle of the Bible belt, it's remarkable how accepting and open E.S. is. You'll LOVE it!

Also, this is the PERFECT place for your questions!
The Sparkdude is quite good about posting all the happenings in Eureka.
Stay tuned to find out everything that's going on.

You shouldn't normally see 90-100° temps in late May - early June. Last year on June 1, the high was 77° and the low was 56°. The record high/low that date: 92° & 40°

In the hottest parts of summer it does occasionally get above 100° here, but that is not the norm. Upper 80s to low 90s are more normal in the hottest part of summer.
