Morning everyone -
Well it's a freaky Friday down here. Not much on the calendar though. There's a charity run, but oncall nixed that. Chores, maybe some studying - Maybe grilling out.
So what all do you guys have planned for the weekend?

Deer season (rifle) starts this weekend..think I will be home most of it keeping watch..hunters seem to enjoy cutting fence, tossin out their trash and shooting towards the house so will be on patrol I think...

Hi Doc!
Never saw it from a property owner's perspective. So you've had people cut fence and trash up your property? I would be on patrol as well. As the owner if someone gets on your property, how insistent can you be with trespassers, without serving time?
:) Can;t have you in jail next time I hit ES, you know!

Cathy in Arkansas you can shot someone just for being on your property.

June,
Whoa. Don;t misunderstand - I am all for it.
- We have a guy down here runs a a big auto salvage. 2X in the last 2 months he's shot/killed burglars on the property. One of the local news reporters hounded the guy and asked if he was trigger happy - That's the gospel. I am so FiretrUCKing tired of the media attacking civilians for protecting themselves. Sorry, I'll stop now.
BTW, it was good to see you.
I'll be working. Hopefully making some big bucks this weekend! Got a great band in tonight and tomorrow night. Have to work Sunday, too, but I figured I would have to after being off all last weekend playing in Eureka. Oh well! Money money money!
Everyone have a great weekend and be safe!

well I am a good hunter and obey all laws... Hunting is soo much fun and fills up my freezer with wonderfully healthy meat.. deer jerky is the best...I have to get out sat, sun and mon morning to get my 2 bucks... hunting gear ready to go...plus Eureka has the wine / food weekend this weekend
Working most of the weekend. Damn it!
Have to pack up the lawn furniture on the patio, dig up the elephant ears, maybe have an adult beverage or 5.
(Printing cookbooks is a lot more fun when one is shit-faced.)
Sparks, we've been kinda busy around the office lately, and haven't had too many Friday Dance Parties (FDPs). But today, we're resurrecting the tradition. Linda brought in a bottle of rum, so we're having Cuba Libras in the parking lot, and a swing dancing competition. (Jerry's been working out. He's gonna be tossing the girls waaaay up high in the air. Hope he remembers to catch them.)
Margie broke a finger last week while making a 'cat's cradle' with her grandson, so she won't be dancing. That's ok, though. She's a lot more fun when she sits on the sidelines and drinks. After 2 or 3, she'll pull her dress up over her head and shout, "Bet you can't find me!"
It's really kind of pathetic.

Cathy I was just letting you know that Doc has the right to hunt the hunters that trespass.
Hopefully Cyber gets a deer. Venison roast for thanksgiving is wonderful.
We will be doing stuff around the house. Fall cleaning.

Straight from Eureka into a 10-day work. Getting ready for blitz day at work. For those of you who enjoy shopping the day after thanksgiving, from the ones that have to be there at 4 am and before to set up, we grumble lol. Good luck with deer season y'all.

Chel has to work which is a good thing as they have now made it legal in MO to protect yourself on your own property. I say good because I really hate it when she chases those tresspassers with the dog and rifle. I think since they don't have any respect for the law they just might hurt her because I really don't think she would shoot them even if it is legal unless she had to of course. Personally I would rather just keep fixing the fence than get in a shootout.
I think I will be doing some poodle trims some of them are a little wooley.

What really pisses off the "illegal" hunters is, when I take their deer and have the fish and game cite them for trespass...as long as I have deer tags and they shoot it on my place, it's mine...and I really agree, much better to fix fence, pick up trash than to get into a shoot out...make no mistake tho, I am armed, but they dont know that.

Maggie man is my mind in the gutter. You mentioned trimming the poodles and I instantly thought of Doc offering to shave pubs. I have a feeling that is not what you meant.

No June but I think I would rather do that. Now my mind is in the gutter.
Doc sounds like you have a great plan. I love deer jerky too QQ. Most these guys around here know we have guns too. I carry a 22 pistol on me most of the time. They don't know Chel's daddy just took that back and gave us a 9mm lugar. Now if I can just figure out how to shoot it without landing on my back looking at the sky as it has quite a kick to it. Well they don't know about that either. Maybe I should practice crotch level and then I might hit something on my way down. June you know what I mean so lets not go back in the gutter.

Yesterday went to pick up Ashley and Bobby and came home to have Ashley's birthday dinner that Lisa fixed. Today I've hung around the house with the kids. I've done laundry and graded papers. Sunday, more grading papers and working on a presentation for class. Lisa will probably be sleeping most of it because she hasn't gone to bed yet. Still reminising about last weekend. What fun!!
