So,
I was reminded - by a friendly note - that I have a MySpace deal.
After multiple login attempts, charitable contributions, and consulting a psychic surgeon I got in. So there's an old pic of me but little information. Notes or comments from friends from about a YEAR back.. So, anybody who sent me something on my MySpace site and got no reply - Sorry. Had an 18 month blonde moment.
Oh, Anyone familiar with the site - I clicked a link to retrieve/read a comment for example - and never saw a comment. I got into their site so that's something.
As a femme who appreciates character, I will say the site had pics of a pretty bad ass looking cat.. I must get to posting on my site now..

For the first little bit I hardly ever checked myspace. I just created it for Lucas and let it float. Then when I opened up to some family out of state and gained four new friends, I started keeping a check on it to find out what's going on with the family.

I have one also. I set it up origionally because Amanda told me I needed one. Thought it was a good way to find out what she was doing on there. I like it. I can keep up with my kids in Texas that way also.

Hi my name is Dave and I do not have a myspace page...

{12 step members} Hi dave....

I guess the first step to getting more friends and paying clients is to admit that I will never put a real myspace page up, because that service pisses me off beyond words. Too many times someone sent me a link to check out pictures, and I can not get past the damn blaring acid rock music and gawd allful color contrast or lack there of. Then the off the wall background loads and I can not tell where to click to kill the noise making my ears bleed. Only option is to bailout by closing the browser window.
Y'all have fun in myspace, I'll keep building my own sites in Adobe Flash and keep them readable to the real world.

{getting off soapbox now}

I have one and I love it!

I met a guy on it last year and dated him for 5 months. I met one over the weekend and have been out with him twice this week, so for me it's a much better dating service than Match.com which I've used, too.

I've also just reconnected with four friends from about 12 years ago that I lost touch with at least 5 years ago.

My sister has used it for her Breast Cancer organization and found it to be one of the best tools for getting her charity publicized.

Just my three cents!

For me, MYSPACE is just like the bad side of town, and I know not to go there..for those who don't know me by now, I am not one to follow the sheeple, I blaze my own trails.

...myspace.... the damn blaring acid rock music and gawd allful color contrast or lack there of. Then the off the wall background loads and I can not tell where to click to kill the noise making my ears bleed.I agree, some myspace sites are pretty bad. Two Firefox add-ons will kill the noise and make myspace and other obnoxious sites readable.
Prefbuttons (http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/prefbuttons)
NoScript (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722)

http://i3.tinypic.com/8bokgvr.jpg

Prefbuttons lets you add a "colors" button to the toolbar. Unchecking Colors will disable busy backgrounds and hard to read colored text on a page.

NoScript allows you to whitelist pages you want to allow scripts on. Leave Myspace.com on the blacklist and it will load faster and omit a lot of annoying crap.

.

(my pet peeve - sites written totally in flash that won't let you copy & paste important text, like directions to a business, etc. Not user friendly at all.)
