Good morning!
After a grueling 4 days it's Friday. The weekend is set to be warm-ish and rainy.
Our plans are undecided aside from coloring my hair. We invited J's family to a drive thru lights display, so that might happen. Xmas shopping is about done, but no house decorations yet. I know - I'll add it to the miles long list of ought-to's!
So, do you guys have anything special planned for this weekend?

Tonight is the Holiday Parade here in, "the most homosexual city in the South." -- Rev. Philip Wilson

Since this year will be the last year to have access to dress up we will be going all out formal. You see one of Eureka's great is leaving. Michelle McDonald is going north. Eureka Springs looses a jewel to bigger and better adventures. She has given so much to Eureka, but Eureka has not done the same to her. So she is leaving and going away with all her vintage attire as well. I am sad to see her go, but happy she is going on to where she will be able to make a living. I am honored to have been friends with her and will wish her the best of luck.

Parade starts at 6pm and we are hoping it is not too cold.
Saturday is the Victorian homes tour and we will most likely be extras in our parade dress, on the streets for added ambiance to our town. Then Sunday afternoon a benifit for Julie Ballance at Chelsea's. She lost everything in a house fire. Two weeks ago we took the shell of her house down. Here is a look at the video for that CLICK. (http://www.esartv.com/julieballance) She is such a great person and she has a warm heart. I am sad that she lost it all, but I must say she handles it better than I would.

All of the free time this weekend is devoted to house cleaning.

Anyway in a nutshell that is this weekend.

Here in the central part, it's another weekend of working and holiday stuff. Got some yard decorations that have to be moved so we can see them from the road. May try to sneak in a little holiday shopping, but if not I got ALL day Tuesday.

Might go see a comedy show if not too tired.

Sparkler, I feel your pain regarding the office party. I would suggest 16 ounces of vodka before attending.

We won't be having a holiday office party this year, since EVERY day is a holiday here in the magical world of cookbook publishing. (pardon me while I vomit)

We do have a Salsa dance party scheduled for 3:00. (Lorraine in Bookkeeping is bringing the chips.)

I can't wait to see Gary from Advertising in black tights. The boy has thighs to simply die for. Now that he's grown the moustache he looks a bit like Benecio del Toro. (yum!) He's been dating the new receptionist, Rhonda. Bitch. I'm gonna push her down the elevator shaft one of these days. She thinks she's all that and a bag of chips. Bitch. Speaking of chips, did I mention Lorraine is bringing some? Hope she doesn't forget. The pretty multi-colored ones would be nice. They're good with the Rum Punch.

After a few cups of Rum Punch, well....typical weekend. I'm going to say I'll clean house, but I won't actually do it. I think I'll cook a brisket instead.

The mental picture I get of you saying this is comical in itself.

Wow what a great video of some wonderful friends. What happened and does she have a place to stay? Is she gonna rebuild?

Yup, she will rebuild. She has a RV/Camper for now.

I hope she gets the African Dancers to drum and dance in the Eureka Gras parade!

Well, we have very special plans this weekend. Darci and I, Connie and Tami, and Mama Denise and Matt are all meeting in Sunny Florida on Sunday where we will board the Mariner of the Seas Cruise ship. We will be sailing the western Carribean for 7 days of rum punch, food, rum punch, dancing, rum punch, singing, rum punch and oh did I say RUM PUNCH. Any way better finish packing as we will drive the 2 hours to KC today to board the plane in the morning.

Ah, I can feel the sun already.
