Good here, Cathy, thx for asking. A lot of the area around here (K.C. MO) is covered with ice. Lots of power outages - but not nearly as bad as it is in Oklahoma and central Mo. From what I hear, Eureka has been spared the major ice catastrophe.

Mexican food.....oh yeah. MAJOR yum for me. Gimme a good ol' enchilada, with a margarita, of course.

not bad at all here in Wichita, everything seemed to be ready for the worst and the worst went somewhere else.

All is great so far in ES. I have been in short sleeves all day today. Hmmm...I guess that is not saying much, I am a polar bear member. I like it cold, but if you are cold I make a good heater, at least that is what June says.
It is my guess that all the folks in Oklahoma don't like the bbs anymore since no one wants to post. I mean come on we want some updates. I just can not see why we get nothing from the servers and users there. Well I guess not everyone has 3 ways to get online and generator back up power for the long haul. We are far enough out in the woods that disaster preparations are essential. During any given snow storm we will be 2-4 days longer to get out and move then the people in town. Goofing around aside, I hope all the OK, KS, and MO family are ok. This is a bad storm.

If it hasn't been raining and wet, we've had a depressing fog over us for about three or four days. The sun did shine thru some yesterday, so that was nice.

Dream!!
Nice to see you.
Fog is kind of creepy to me. Too much scifi&horror over the last 40 years or so I guess ;)
It's def depressing. ugh. There was ice on windshields & some bridges this Thursday morning.
Anyway, good to know folks are doing okay.

No fog here, since we are high up and live on top of the mountain, we've been in a cloud the past 3 days...all is well, no ice..lots of rain, looks like I can stop hauling water now as the spring is running agn.

I love Mexican food! As for the weather..the sun was supposed to shine today and tomorrow, but it hasn't. It hasn't been raining today though, but we've had a lot of rain. We are supposed to get some snow Fr or Sat night...YUCK!!!! Glad to know that everyone is ok. As for me, I stayed home from work last Fri, went Mon stayed home Tues, went Wed, and am staying home today and tomorrow. I finally went to the doctor today and found out I have an ear infection that is causing my throat problems. Got a shot in the booty and a prescription for antibotics. Anyway, this weather has been terrible!

We got hit pretty hard here in central Missouri. It looks like a war zone. We were without electricity for 42 hours at my house. My son who lives one county over and is on a rural co-op still didn't have electricity as of yesterday. His has been out since around 3:00 am Sunday. He finally bought a generator to tough it out.

Calling for snow this weekend. I'll take snow any day over ice!

Don't be too hard on the Oklahoma posters...alot of us have been without power for a week or more. I heard Tulsa is still without power. I live about an hour from there and I have been without power since last Sunday and was told it could be another week before it is restored. (luckily my house in Stillwater was still open and the utilities are still connected. Not much furniture but at least we have gas, electric and a telephone. Ahhhh....hot water is my friend!!!)
My yard looks like a tornado touched down. Big, beautiful trees that have been there for at least 30 years or more will probably have to be taken out. Huge pine trees on the side of the house have lost alot of the huge limbs that form their shape. Utility poles bent over or broken and trees and power lines down in the roads for days. Shrubs are still iced over so bad the branches are about 2 inches around. It does look like a war zone, as Duffer said of his area.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Same here; our 30+ year old oak tree out front sustained quite a bit of damage and we have 2 big trees in the back that are down. Our neighborhood also looks like a tornado went thru it.

No bad stuff here in little rock. Just nasty wet weather. Rain makes for a horrible funeral. Our new company has taken us over and so far things are 100% better. Love you all and will post more often....

Thanks, Angela! We are so lucky compared to so many families (and their were thousands without power) that have no other place to go. As of yesterday, we were still without power in the other house.

Denise,
I have been thinking about you and the TFG's and Frankie! Hope you are "powered up" by now.

Hope everyone has a great week!
