After a wonderful 7 day cruise with Mattie, Darci, Joleen, ABC Connie and Tammi aka Carla -- we stepped off the boat Sunday into not so much fun.

Cruise was great -- went to Haiti, Jamacia, Grand Caymans and Cozumel. Mariner of the Seas -- Royal Carribean Line. It was a beautiful boat and a wonderful week. I think I speak for us all when saying we had a blast, and what a relaxing time!

The Kansas girls flight was delayed for about 2.5 hours due to mechanical difficulties. They finally arrived home Sunday evening and all was well until Tuesday night when their power went out. As far as I know it is still out. I will be calling Joleen today, and will report back. Plus I believe they were expecting a snowstorm this weekend as well.

Our flight to Tulsa was delayed on Sunday due to incoming storm. So we had to stay Sunday evening in Orlando. They then flew us to Chicago Monday, and we were once again delayed to Tulsa until Tuesday afternoon late. We arrived in Tulsa finally on Tuesday at about 5:30 p.m. However, we did arrive to a house that had been without power for two days. Needless to say our daughters Jessie & Amber were glad to see us. Trees down in both front and back yard, what a disaster. Toughed it out in the house and threatened to vacate by Friday evening if it wasn't on. The power came back on Fri eve at 6:30 p.m.

Spent the whole day cleaning house and doing laundry yesterday to try to get caught up. The power flickered again last night and I screamed, but thank goodness it came back on.

TFG Karen lives in mid-town Tulsa and I spoke with her this morning, they are still without power. TFG Barb lives in Sperry - and they are expected to be without until middle of next week. TFG Meg and TFG Stephanie live next door to me, so they now have their power restored. I haven't heard from TFG Linda who lives in Owasso.

Will try to post pictures of cruise after Mattie is done editing.

Thanks everyone for thinking of me.

And I Hope everyone who is without power has it restored very shortly -- it is firetrucking cold out there! And it is a **&^*)_)_^ to be without it!

Luv
TFG

Wow! The cruise sounds WONDERFUL!!!!

Glad everyone (finally!) made it home ok, in spite of power outages.

BTW, I didn't know 'screaming' would make the power come back on!!!! (Note to self: remember to scream next time power goes out.)

Would LOVE to see some photos!

Yep - the screaming worked, I was near tears, so it was a good thing!

Just spoke with Joleen, their power came back on Friday morning, so they are good. Spending the weekend cleaning up the mess and decorating for Christmas. ABC Connie and Tammi aka Carla still don't have power; but have a generator and their office to go to.

Sorry your electricity was down, but I know wherever you go you go with Power (as much as I like Mattie, he's not quite what I mean).

This nightmare will give us something to talk about during Fall Diversity Weekend 2032: "Remember the FiretrUCKING ice storm back in aught seven? Shore glad global warming did away with all that shit. Want another shot of Patron? Just push the button on your IV line and gum this lemon . . . Darci you are gonna bust your ass if you don’t quit popping wheelies like that in your special short electric wheelchair."

Why aren't you writing for Letterman or something? Is it the writers strike?

Glad you are "Powered Up"! Michael went to the house in the country today and our power is finally back up over there. At this point, we are staying in Stillwater so I am a happy camper! It has been a long year!
Can't wait to see your pics!

yeppers.......never fully understand how dependent you are on something until it is GONE......we lost power monday night at 8:30 and I got a phone call at 2:15 am friday morning telling me 'Hey, WE GOT POWER!!' WOO-HOO!!

plus....Do you know how much FiretrUCKing food can fit in 4 freezers.....I was SO worried we'd loose a bunch, so thursday night (yes, a mere few hours before getting power back) Joleen and I rounded up every cooler within a 5 block radius and hauled food out into the icy/snowy yard. Did our best to secure it.....and said--thats the best we can do. So friday morning, we hauled it ALL back in the put it back in the freezers.

It could have been worse----I could have been with Denise and Matt. At least we were home.

Glad it is behind us {however, there are still 4500 ppl in our county that still are without power}

I was just sitting here thinking to myself, with a big grin on my face, that the cruise line you all were on will never be the same! I bet they are still trying to figure out....I am glad you all had such a good time. 'Course, I knew you would!

Darci, tell us about the motorcycle.....Can you pop wheelies yet?

We got caught in the ice storm while staying with friends near Terrleton, OK. Got out Monday morning though! Thus just got the juice back Sunday. We keep two generators after the ice storm here in Cozahome a few years ago. But BOTH of them burned with the trailer two weeks ago. Grrrr! Now you KNOW it'll ice up over here.

Westwood~

When you were in Terlton, you were probably about 15 miles from the house we were in that lost power. The power to that house was back on this past Tuesday. I hope your friends got their power back before then!
We thought about buying a generator but I was in shock when I found out how much one big enough to do any good at that house would cost!

Sounds like we all made it through the ice storm......and NO, I don't want to do it again anytime soon!!

as for the cycle---No wheelies! actually, all I've done is start it....haven't ridden it yet. Haven't taken the course and I made a promise to take that course BEFORE riding....and plan to keep that promise.

BUT
OMG does it sounds GOOD!!!!!!
