This Friday will complete my 1 year Real Life Test or RLT.
During RLT someone lives fulltime in their target gender for a year before pursuing gender surgery. Tomorrow I see a new Dr. who;ll write a 2nd letter concurring with my primary Dr's diagnosis and some text about my suitability for SRS. It is required by the Standards of Care to qualify for a plumbing renovation. Meanwhile I'm gathering books and videos to contribute to my Dr's lending library.
There's a lonnng way to go, but this represents a Big step - ( to me )
WooHoo!
Hey Joney - sorry I missed you this past Spring.

Hi Cathy:

I so happy for you. Do you know where and whom you plan to have the refit done?

Joney,
Thank you for your well-wishing. Your opinion has a lot of value in my book. Anyway,
my plan is to use Dr Marci Bowers in Trinidad Colorado perform my upgrades.
It'll be 18 months or so before I can take out a loan to fund it.Meantime I'll be losing some weight and shaping up. My upper body strength has diminished a bit over the last 3+ years of HRT.

I hear a lot of good things about Dr Bower. Being a post herself, she has some insight. Have you contacted her yet? You may want to soon, so as to work out a date.

I would love to loose more weight. This hormone balance problem sucks. My metabolism and bady fat % are out of control. I use to ber a lean mean fighting machine, going from 2 % body fat to 34% in a short amount of time when the estrogen spikes started sucks.

Having to learn whole new ways to loose weight.

Funny, most post I know don't worry about the upgrades, just the test drive afterwards. :)

Hi there,
Contacting the Dr is a good idea, I really don;t know what the lead time for surgery is. I know it'll be 2 years or so till I can fund it. :( Meanwhile my weight loss program is waaay behind. It's easy to tell your upper body and legs were well developed. My femme biker friend, 2% bodyfat is competition level. Did you compete? @ my lightest weight class < 170 lbs - I still had hips and small shoulders. Except for back and legs being built up from line work(electrical) my male build was unimpressive. So be it.
By the way The evaluation last night was a breeze. So now there are 2 doctors who agree I am not crazy. ( Of course they've been paid for their candor )
