Friday - What's up with you guys

Good morning,
well it is a Friday once again - Down this way it's been a looong one. Not much planned for me. Seems like I do the same things many times, maybe changing the order. ride,grill,chores,a stroll thru the herb garden. As routines go, it's pretty sweet.
So? what's on your list this weekend?

I use my Eureka Gras Shot glass, the one you and HAWT DAMN gave US, almost every day. I measure out the Pom Juice (http://www.pomwonderful.com/)for mixing my strawberry smoothies that I am now addicted to.

Roger has checked into the UAMS Hilton, the Bone Marrow Transplant Suites.

He reluctantly agreed to a ambulatory infusion pump called a I-Port or a Infuse-A-Port for his treatment during his bone marrow transplant 3 weeks ago today.

The port soon became infected and it took a throw down screaming queen fit to get the Doctors in to agree that it must come OUT! Later they said it should have come out days ago. DUH!

Late this past Tuesday he got his wish. It is gone:grin:


He requested the infected port to be gift boxed so that he could present it to his Doctor as a gift. His Doc was so giddy about these ports so Roger thought he might like one to wear.

With the port OUT, and a OMGG raging infection, he has chosen to stay in the hospital till the infection is gone. Once he is free of infection he will permit them to install a new port. He has chosen a lovely arm picc to replace the the infected one that was placed under the skin on his chest. Oh did I say placed? The Doctor had to stand on top of the table and shove the port into him...no wonder it soon became infected.

I rushed home from Spring Diversity Weekend, in a panic, to witness high temps, dehydration and suffering, all because this very port was probally infected as far back as that weekend.

His lovely suite is sweet. There is a nurse for every 3 patients. The room has a flat screen, the latest and greatest hospital bed, futon,recliner, 2 guest chairs, frig, coffee maker, walk in shower, and a view into a court yard complete with new construction of the new myloma clinic and lots and lots of Diet Coke shirtless tool-belts.

All of Eureka has been beaming healing light, Roger has bounced it right back to all those in need of some healing in Eureka.

Yup, the weekend looks F A B! A lot more then it did last weekend, so ROCK ON it's almost PRIDE MONTH and it's almost Eureka FIVE-08-)

I wish I could say working in the yard, but I doubt I'll get much time for that. This month we have a total of 5 people we know graduating. One of those is tomorrow. It's also mother's day weekend so off to see the family whether we want to or not. Other than that, we've talked about going clubbing tomorrow night.

well Super Boy Roger is pretty sick and has decided that there will NEVER ever be a port placed under his skin . So the arm Picc he selected has been canceled.

after the infection clears up he has 2 more weeks of anti biotic treatment

i took a pix of the puss oooooooozzzzzzzzzzzzzzing wound in his chest. it looks gross
