Overheard at a party recently

Hi Y’all;
Recently I was out with a mix of CD/TG folks and their partners comparing observations and common experiences. Nearby sat another TG, a CD/TV and his souse. As we chatted, I eventually got an earful from the CD/TV next to me. Not me personally,transgenderism overall. Despite knowing dozens of appearance and gender variants I was surprised at the the intensity of his beliefs regarding the concept of transition. Except the criticism extended past tsition and such, to encompass (pretty much) the whole of T*hood. Was it all the Cosmos he had? Did my quiet listening embolden him? Did he think it was okay to be mean to a woman?
Question: WTF? A CD/TV so vehemently negative on the issue of Transgenderism?
Didn’t See that One Coming.
Members: Anyone else experience this? I was (almost) speechless.
I’d welcome any and all input.

Cross referencing the world of GLB, I know Delana has experienced some shunning by both sides of the straight and lesbian community. There has been people on the L side of things that have tried to lecture her that she's not. On the other hand a lot of straight people don't understand how she's bi when she's with a woman. They automatically go to lesbian. In a way the bisexual is a bit of a misunderstood thing.

I guess in my view point this CD/TV person was like a radical Muslim or Christian. They blow things out of perspective making the rest of them look bad. The cosmo's I figure helped. The L person that lectured Delana had too many of something that night.

I have met many gender variants of all flavors. Many are angry at themselves, others, or the world in general. Then you got the armchair experts who come out on Halloween once a year and know it all.

Funny, I get the eye laser beems all the time from some Transgender people. They think I am breaking the rules. Again, gender non-comformist wanting peole to comform to gender rules.

J is getting that kind of bulls**t from co-workers and some friends.
Joney refers often to people who require that others must fit into a category, everyone must fit in a category. M/F, str8/gay/bi etc.
Apt observation Joney, about a gender non-conformist expecting someone to conform to gender rules..
Man - I thought I was in a a twilight zone that night. Where's the camera, I'm thinking. Talking sh*t to me...
