The code of riding is an organic document. It exists nowhere in it’s entirety.
What’s the saying.” If you understand, an explanation isn’t needed. If you don’t, an explanation is useless”. This is a prelude or intro.
Who do you consider instrumental in you riding motorcycles.?
What are/were they like?
Do you have any traditions or beliefs tied to riding?
I’d like to hear about yours. Mine are pretty run of the mill.
Give it up riders.. I mean how often does someone ask a biker any kind of thoughtful questions?
Aside from the usual --
“How fast will it go”
“Can you pull stuntz on it?”
“Ever outrun a cop?”
“whyzit so loud?”
We always said “Don’t sell your helmet/boots/gloves.
It’ll give you something to dream about till you can get another bike”.
Never try to frighten a non-riding passenger. My family believed and adhered to this. I’d rather draw good folks to riding than to scare them away.
Also - Pass your favorite bandanna or dew rag for luck and good will, along to a new rider of character.
